| A comprehensive study of the effectiveness of acupuncture and hyperbaric therapy in treating illness symptoms: Scoping review |

| Introduction: Complementary hyperbaric therapy and acupuncture have long been used to treat a variety of ailments, and several research have been undertaken in this area. The purpose of this study was to thoroughly investigate the efficacy of combining hyperbaric therapy with acupuncture in the treatment of illness symptoms. research method: In this study, Google Scholar, Eric, Science Direct, PubMed, Scopus, Elsevier databases were examined from 2000 to 2023 for papers relating to the successful treatment of illness symptoms using hyperbaric oxygen therapy and acupuncture. In this study, the keywords “Acupuncture” and “Hyperbaric” were used to search, and 490 papers were retrieved, with 5 studies chosen following examination and analysis by the research team. The trials were used to determine the efficacy of therapies. Results: The findings showed that 9 conditions, including encephalopathy, abrupt deafness, neurocognitive problems, imbalance in stroke, Parkinson's dysfunction, coma, neck arthritis, and depression after stroke, had been successfully treated with a combination of hyperbaric therapy and acupuncture. Semi Synergy has been noted in the combined treatment of these two procedures in 80% of the studies, and it has proven to be more effective than the separate therapy of each strategy. Conclusion: These studies' findings indicated that acupuncture and hyperbaric therapy were beneficial in treating chronic diseases' pain and functional dysfunction. However, additional research is required to determine exactly how well these two treatment modalities work together in treating individuals. |
